Part A applies to everyone who uses ReturnDone. After it, read the part that describes you: B if a CA files your own return through us, C and D if you run a CA firm on ReturnDone, E if a firm or your employer invited you to a portal, F if you are an expert CA on our panel.
What changed in this version: the Terms now cover firms, their clients and employees, and expert CAs as well as individuals, and set out the storage a firm's band includes. Nothing an individual was promised before has been reduced. A firm that applies from the effective date of this change gets 3 months free above 25 clients instead of 6 months; a firm that applied before keeps 6 months (Subscription fees, Part C). A firm's monthly charge is a GST tax invoice that can be paid online, and an invoice left unpaid 30 days after its due date makes the firm's workspace read-only until it is paid (Part C).
These Terms are the agreement between you and Growinture Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru ("ReturnDone", "we", "us") for your use of ReturnDone. They work together with the Privacy Policy and, for individual filing plans, the Refund Policy.
You accept them when you do any of these: tick the consent box at individual sign-up; submit a firm sign-up application; accept an invitation and set a password for a team, client or employee login or an expert account; pay for a plan; or keep using the service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not require a physical signature. If you accept them for a firm or a company, you confirm that you are allowed to bind it.
Individual: a person who signs up so that a Chartered Accountant files their own income-tax return through ReturnDone.
Firm: a CA practice that uses ReturnDone to run its work. Firm users are its partners and staff. The workspace is that firm's own area of ReturnDone, with its clients, tasks, documents and records.
Client: a business or person a firm serves and has recorded in its workspace. A client login is a person at that client whom the firm (or the client's own administrator) has invited to the client portal. An employee is a person on a client's payroll records who has been invited to the employee portal, or sent a one-time link to a document.
Expert: a Chartered Accountant, or a member of their firm, on the ReturnDone panel who prepares and files individuals' returns.
Operator: a member of the ReturnDone team who runs the platform.
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract. Your account is verified by email. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything done under your account. Tell us at once at support@growinture.com if you suspect someone else has used it.
One login is for one person; do not share it. Firm users, client logins and employees can add two-factor authentication from their account page, and we encourage it.
For individuals, one account serves one PAN; filing for family members needs separate accounts.
Use ReturnDone only for lawful tax, compliance and practice work. Do not upload forged or misleading documents, or anyone's data that you have no right to share. Do not try to reach another person's or another firm's data, probe or disrupt the service, run automated scripts against it, or use our forms, invitations or chat to send unsolicited or bulk messages.
We limit how often forms, sign-in attempts, invitations and one-time codes can be used, per person, per address and overall. If a limit stops you during genuine use, write to support@growinture.com.
The ReturnDone name, product, interface and content are owned by Growinture Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
You keep full ownership of what you upload and enter. You give us a limited licence to store and process it only to provide the service to you: for an individual, to prepare and file your return; for a firm, to run the workspace on the firm's instructions. Computation sheets prepared for you are yours to keep and download.
How we protect data, what is and is not encrypted, who can see what, and which other companies receive data are set out in the Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement. No system is perfectly secure; our commitments if something goes wrong are in the Privacy Policy.
You may stop using the service at any time. How your data is handled after that is covered in the Privacy Policy and in the part of these Terms that describes you.
We may suspend an account or a workspace for abuse, fraudulent documents, a breach of these Terms, a data-protection concern, or non-payment that continues after notice. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
For individuals: if we terminate without cause before your return is filed, you receive a full refund.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays or outages of the Income Tax portal, the GST portal or any other government or third-party system.
For an individual, our total liability for any claim arising from a return is limited to the fees paid for that return. We are not liable for interest or penalties arising from incomplete information you provided, or for the consequences of missing the e-verification window after our reminders.
For a firm, our total liability in any twelve months is limited to the subscription fees the firm paid us for that period.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 where they apply.
We may update these Terms. Material changes are notified by email at least 15 days before they take effect, and they never apply retroactively to a return already paid for.
This version was published on 13 Oct 2026. If you already had an account on that date, it applies to you 15 days after we email you about it; until then the version you accepted continues to apply. If you do not agree with a change, you may stop using the service before it takes effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection forum available to you.
Questions about these Terms: support@growinture.com. Service complaints: support@growinture.com (we reply within 4 hours during the filing season). Grievance officer details are published in the Privacy Policy. Registered office: Growinture Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, Karnataka.
ReturnDone provides income tax return preparation and filing for individual taxpayers in India. Every return is prepared and reviewed by a qualified Chartered Accountant using the documents and information you provide. The documents you upload are made available to your assigned CA, who reviews them to prepare and file your return; all professional judgment and sign-off rest with that CA.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the documents and answers you provide, and for responding to queries raised by your CA in reasonable time. Withholding income information (for example interest or capital gains visible in AIS) may result in an inaccurate return for which we cannot accept responsibility. The final computation is filed only after your explicit in-app approval, which is recorded with a timestamp.
Plan fees are fixed, displayed in full before payment, and payable in advance — the price shown is the total you pay. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not store your card, UPI or banking credentials. Your CA confirms during review that the plan fits your case; the fee you paid is never raised without your consent. Cancellations and refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.
Our advice is limited to the preparation and filing of your income tax return for the relevant assessment year, including regime comparison and deduction optimisation based on the documents provided. It does not constitute investment advice, audit, certification, or representation before tax authorities unless separately agreed in writing. Consultation calls are general guidance on your return, not a substitute for a full advisory engagement.
Nothing is filed without your approval. Once you approve a draft, your CA files it on the Income Tax portal and the acknowledgment number is shared with you. E-verification within 30 days of filing is a statutory requirement and your responsibility; we guide and remind you, but an unverified return is treated by the department as not filed.
If a return we filed needs to be revised, raise it with Support: your CA reviews it and, while the statutory window for a revised return is open (31 December of the assessment year), prepares the revision with you — free of charge where the error is attributable to us. If you receive a notice relating to a return we filed, forward it within 7 days — your CA will review it and draft a response as included in your plan. Notices arising from information you did not disclose are handled on a best-effort, separately-charged basis.
ReturnDone gives a CA firm a workspace to run its practice: a client register, recurring compliance tasks with their due dates, review and approval, document collection, a client portal and an employee portal for the people the firm invites, and billing of the firm's own clients.
The firm does the professional work. Due-date templates, reminders and generated tasks are aids: the firm remains responsible for what it files for its clients, for meeting statutory dates, and for checking that a template's rule is right for a client. ReturnDone does not file anything for a firm's clients and gives the firm's clients no professional advice.
A firm applies with its details and the applicant's ICAI membership number. Because the workspace holds real client tax data, we check the application before the firm is activated, and we may decline one. The person who signs up becomes the Primary Partner and accepts these Terms for the firm.
The firm decides who its users are and what each role may see and do, and is responsible for what they do in the workspace. Remove a login when a person leaves. The firm is also responsible for the invitations it sends to clients and employees: send them only to people who expect them.
Free forever at 25 clients or fewer, with every feature and no card. Above 25 clients, your first 3 months are free, counted from the day your firm first has more than 25 clients; after that there is one flat monthly fee for the whole firm, set by the band your client count falls in.
The 3 months are for a firm that applies to join on or after the effective date of this change. A firm that had already applied before that date keeps the 6 months free it was offered when it joined. Your Billing screen shows your own firm's number and, once your free months have started, the day they end.
The bands and their fees are shown on the Pricing page and on your Billing screen. The fee is for the firm and is not charged per seat: team, client and employee logins are free. A client counts for a month if it was active at any point in that month; the firm's own record and suspended clients are not counted, and a month is not pro-rated. If your count moves into another band, the new fee applies from the next month; if it returns to 25 or fewer, charging stops from the next month.
A change to the fees is a material change to these Terms: we email the Primary Partner at least 15 days before it takes effect, and it never applies to a month already used.
Each band includes an amount of storage for the files your firm keeps in the workspace. The amount for each band, and the price of extra storage, are shown on the Pricing page and on your Billing screen, which also shows how much your firm has used.
What counts is every file stored for your own practice: files your team adds to clients and tasks, documents your clients and their employees send you, documents you issue to employees, and attachments in your firm's conversations and support requests. A file counts at the size it was uploaded, for as long as we keep it, including after you remove it from view. Returns and documents of taxpayers that ReturnDone allocates to your firm do not count.
If your firm reaches its allowance, new uploads are refused until there is room or storage is added. That applies to your team and to clients and employees sending you documents, who are told only that your storage is full. We do not delete, hide or lock anything already stored because an allowance has been reached, and downloads keep working. We tell the people at your firm who manage billing before the allowance is reached and again when it is.
Extra storage is added on request, in blocks, at the price shown at the time. It is charged monthly with your subscription, plus GST, for each month in which it is in place at the month's end, and it is the only charge a firm in the free band can have. Ask us and we remove it.
Storage is for your practice's working documents. We may ask a firm to stop using the workspace as general file hosting or backup for material unrelated to its clients' work. A change to the storage a band includes, or to the price of extra storage, is notified in the same way as a change to the fees, and never removes a file you have already stored.
A paid band is billed monthly, after the month it covers. Each charge is a GST tax invoice with its own number, made out to your firm's name, address and GSTIN (when it has one) as they stand on the invoice date, with CGST and SGST, or IGST, according to the place of supply. It is listed on your Billing screen with the period, the client count, the band, the amount and its due date, can be downloaded there as a PDF, and is emailed to you when it is raised and when it is paid. GST at the prevailing rate (18% today) is added to the fee.
You can pay a charge online from the Billing screen (Pay now, through our payment gateway); it is marked paid as soon as the gateway confirms the payment. You can also pay by bank transfer or UPI to the account shown on the Billing screen. Nothing is auto-debited and we hold no card or mandate.
Because a charge is for a month already used, there is nothing to refund when you stop. A charge raised in error is corrected. Where an annual price is offered and you choose to pay it in advance, it covers twelve months from payment; if we close your workspace without cause during that time we refund the unused months.
We remind you before the due date, the day after it and again 15 days after it. If a charge is still unpaid 25 days after its due date, we tell your billing address and the Primary Partner the date your workspace will become read-only; 30 days after the due date it becomes read-only, and stays so until nothing is overdue.
Read-only means your team can still sign in, see and download everything, export your data, pay and write to us, but cannot add or change work. Your clients and their employees are not affected: their uploads and approvals keep working. The workspace opens again the moment the overdue charge is paid. Nothing is deleted.
If a charge stays unpaid after that we may, after telling the Primary Partner, suspend sign-in to the workspace until it is settled. Suspension does not delete anything either: every client, task and document is kept as it is, and sign-in returns when the charge is paid.
To close your firm's workspace, the Primary Partner writes to support@growinture.com. There is no notice period and no closing fee. Any charge already raised for a month you used remains payable.
Your data is yours. On request — at closure or at any other time — we give the firm a copy of its data: the client register, the task register and the stored documents. We aim to deliver it within 30 days of the request.
After closure, once you have confirmed you have your copy, we delete the workspace's data from the live system within 30 days. If we do not hear from you, we tell the Primary Partner before we delete anything. Copies in our backups are overwritten as the backups expire. We keep what the law requires us to keep — for example our own invoices to you and the record of payments.
The firm's relationship with its clients is the firm's own. ReturnDone is not a party to the firm's engagement with a client, its fees, or the invoices it raises to a client from the workspace. A payment a client makes to the firm goes to the firm directly; ReturnDone only records what the firm enters.
The firm confirms that it is entitled to hold each client's and each employee's data in the workspace and to invite them. Part D sets out how we handle that data for the firm.
A firm puts personal data about its clients, their contact people and their employees into its workspace. For that data the firm decides why and how it is used: under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 the firm is the Data Fiduciary and ReturnDone is its Data Processor. (Where a client company is itself the employer, the client and the firm decide between them who the fiduciary for the employees' data is; ReturnDone is the processor either way.)
The firm is responsible for having a lawful basis for the data it enters, for giving its clients and their employees the notices the law requires, and for answering their requests about their data.
We process this data only to provide the workspace, on the firm's instructions given through the product and in writing. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it for any purpose of our own.
We keep it confidential. No operator screen opens a firm's client records, stored documents, or the firm's conversations with its clients and employees. Operators read only what the firm sends to ReturnDone Support, and what it attaches to that.
We apply the security measures described in the Privacy Policy, which says plainly what is encrypted and what is not.
We use the other companies listed in the Privacy Policy to host the service and deliver email, and we tell firms before we add one that would receive this data.
If we learn of a personal data breach affecting a firm's data, we tell the Primary Partner without undue delay, with what we know, so that the firm can meet its own duties.
We help the firm answer a request from a client or an employee about their data, where the firm cannot do it from inside the product.
When the firm closes its workspace we return and delete the data as set out under "Closing your workspace" above.
If you are a client of a CA firm, or an employee of one of its clients, you do not sign up: your CA firm or your employer invites you, and the portal is free for you.
Your portal shows what the firm or your employer has chosen to share with you: for a client login, your own company's filings, documents, requests and invoices; for an employee, your own record and the documents shared with you, such as Form 16. What you upload goes to the firm that serves you.
The firm (or your employer) controls the data in your portal and decides who has a login. Questions about what is recorded about you, or requests to correct or delete it, go to them first; we help them act on it. They can also remove your access.
A firm may send you a link to upload documents it has asked for, and an employer may send an employee a link to collect a document. These links work without an account, so treat a link like a key: do not forward it. An upload link stops working once the request is closed. An employee link asks for the last four characters of your PAN and a one-time code sent to your email before it opens anything.
ReturnDone provides the software. Your CA firm provides the professional service, and your employer's records are your employer's. We do not advise you, file for you, or decide what your firm or employer shares with you. A dispute about fees, filings or the content of a document is between you and them.
Experts join by invitation from ReturnDone. You confirm that you hold a valid ICAI membership and a certificate of practice where one is required for the work, that the details you give us are true, and that you will tell us at once if that changes. A preparer works within a signing expert's firm, and the signer is responsible for the returns filed in their name.
You prepare and file each return as an independent professional, in line with the Income-tax Act and the ICAI's Code of Ethics. You answer the individual's queries in reasonable time, file only after their recorded approval, and record the acknowledgment number in ReturnDone.
You see an individual's case only if it belongs to your firm and you are its signer or assigned preparer. You use what you see only to prepare, file and support that return. You do not copy it out of ReturnDone except as the filing itself requires, and you do not contact the individual for other business without their consent.
Individuals pay ReturnDone for their plan. For each paid order on a case assigned to your firm, your firm earns the plan fee net of GST, less the platform commission. The commission rate, and any change to it, is notified to you in writing and applies to orders paid after the notice. Settlements are worked out for each calendar month on the orders paid in that month. If an order is refunded under the Refund Policy, the settlement for it is adjusted.
A consultation you arrange directly with an individual is between you and them and is not charged through ReturnDone.
You may leave the panel by writing to support@growinture.com; please finish or hand back your open cases first. We may pause or remove an expert for a breach of these Terms, a lapse in membership, repeated missed commitments to individuals, or a complaint we find to be justified. Amounts earned on work properly completed before that are still settled.
